and the bottom line says "IRIS". "ARCO IRIS" means "RAINBOW" in English.
The letters are indented in the plastic. The rest of the token is smooth and
there is no rim.

The reverse has a large "¼" centered on the token. This number (fraction) is
indented in the plastic. The rest of the token is smooth and
there is no rim.

These tokens come in three colors - green, blue and orange. The different
colored tokens are otherwise identical.

Function
|
Coffee picker token. The denominations on the tokens are said to refer to latas (cans)
of coffee picked. On payday the tokens were turned in for cash, or they could be
redeemed for goods at the finca's general store.

Three specimens in collector hands are known to me. No recent sales.
