Obverse Design The legend "NCO OPEN MESS" curves along the top. The legend "HOWARD" curves along the bottom of the token. A "Huaca" (pre-columbian design figure sometimes found in ancient graves in Panama) appears in the center of the token.
Reverse Design In the bottom center is a small ornament. A legend starts in the center of the bottom and curves upward around the token. The legend says: "GOOD . FOR . ONE DOLLAR . IN . TRADE". In the center of the token is the denomination of "100". There is an ornament above and below the denomination. Under the lower ornament appear the letters "HH" (the Hoffman & Hoffman mint mark).
Metal Brass. Weight Unknown (4.70 grams in copper). Size and Shape Round, 25 mm in diameter.
Dates Issued The "HH" mint mark was used from 1980 to 1999.
Issuer Howard Air Force Base.
Mintage Unknown. Minimum order size currently is 1000.
Rarity Rare. Manufacturer Hoffman & Hoffman of Carmel, California. Other Catalog Numbers None.
Varieties Minted in both brass and copper.
Function Used in slot machines (per Mr. Clarence McNeese).
